About this portfolio

This portfolio presents a series of fictional marketing projects created to demonstrate my practical approach to AI-enabled marketing.

Rather than focusing on AI as a standalone technology, these projects explore how AI can support everyday marketing work — from content creation and information synthesis to workflow design and process optimisation.

The projects are designed around realistic business scenarios and follow a human-in-the-loop approach: AI supports the process, while strategy, judgement, accuracy and final decisions remain human-led.

AI supports the process.Human judgement drives the outcome.

C1AI

Your personal AI coach for Cambridge C1 Advanced

The fictional company behind the projects

C1AI is a fictional AI-powered learning platform designed to help advanced English learners prepare for the Cambridge C1 Advanced exam.

C1AI combines structured exam preparation with personalised AI-powered practice, feedback and progress guidance.

The platform is designed for learners who already have a strong level of English but need a more structured, flexible and personalised way to prepare for their exam.

C1AI supports learners across all four parts of the exam

Reading & Use of English

Practise · Analyse · Improve

AI generates exercises, analyses mistakes and explains them.

Writing

Write · Get feedback · Improve

Feedback on structure, accuracy, vocabulary, coherence and task achievement.

Listening

Practise · Review · Repeat

Performance feedback, recurring difficulties and practice recommendations.

Speaking

Speak · Get feedback · Practise

Simulated speaking with feedback on fluency, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and interaction.

Product philosophy

C1AI is designed as a personal AI learning assistant — not a system that does the learning for the user.

Its role is to help learners understand where they are, identify what they need to improve and practise more effectively.

The platform combines AI-powered feedback with structured exam preparation, helping learners make informed decisions about what to practise next.

AI supports the learner. The learner stays in control.

  1. LearnerStarts from where they are
  2. AI supportFeedback and guidance
  3. Practice + feedbackPractise, see mistakes, understand them
  4. Learner decisionChooses what to practise next

↺ Then the cycle repeats, with the learner in control.

Target audience

C1AI is designed for ambitious adult English learners preparing for Cambridge C1 Advanced who want a flexible alternative to classroom-based preparation. They already have strong English, but need more structure, targeted practice and personalised feedback.

My role

Marketing Specialist at C1AI

For these projects, I took the role of a Marketing Specialist within the fictional C1AI marketing team. My role combines content creation, digital marketing, marketing operations and practical AI application.

Content & Communications

    Marketing Operations

      Digital Marketing

        AI-enabled Marketing

          My approach

I use AI as a practical tool within the marketing workflow — to accelerate research, structure information, generate ideas, transform content and reduce repetitive work. Strategy, audience understanding, factual accuracy, brand voice and final decisions remain human-led.

AI accelerates the work.Human judgement drives the outcome.

          Selected projects

Three fictional projects. Three different marketing problems. One consistent approach.

Project 01 case study: From Expert Knowledge to LinkedIn Content

          AI-assisted content workflow · CONTENT · AI · LINKEDIN · REPURPOSING

          Overview

A fictional workflow showing how one expert interview can be transformed into multiple audience-focused marketing assets using AI-assisted analysis and content repurposing.

          ✓human review
            45-min expert interview|AI-assisted analysis|Content strategy|5 marketing assets|Human review

          01Challenge

C1AI has strong educational expertise, but turning expert knowledge into consistent, audience-focused marketing content can be time-consuming. The goal was to design a repeatable workflow transforming one expert interview into a multi-format content package.

One expert conversation → multiple marketing assets

          03AI-assisted analysis

          AI was used to:

          • analyse the interview
          • identify themes and insights
          • suggest content angles
          • adapt the core idea into different formats
          • create first drafts
          • identify repetition and consistency issues

          04Human decision

AI can find the material. Human judgement decides what matters.

          Human responsibilities:

          • selecting the central insight
          • evaluating strategic relevance
          • validating factual accuracy
          • protecting expert meaning
          • adapting to the audience
          • maintaining C1AI tone
          • approving final content

          05From audience need to insight

Audience problem: “I know I need to prepare, but I’m not always sure what I should focus on next.”

Central insight: “Before you practise more, understand what you are trying to improve.”

          04Exam-specific challenges
          05Difficulty measuring progress

          05Human validation

AI identified the pattern. Human judgement validated the insight.

          Validation criteria:

          • evidence in the feedback
          • context
          • relevance
          • marketing usefulness
          • avoiding unsupported conclusions

          06Customer insights

01Learners need direction, not just more practice.
02Feedback becomes more valuable when it leads to action.
03Focus matters when study time is limited.
04Strong general English does not remove exam-specific challenges.

          07From insight to marketing action

            Customer problem|Customer insight|Marketing message|Content opportunity

          Example messages:

          • Know what to work on next.
          • Understand your mistakes. Know what to do next.
          • Make your practice more purposeful.
          • Prepare for the exam, not just for English.

          Content ideas:

          • What should I practise next?
          • Why do I keep making the same mistake?
          • How to turn feedback into better practice
          • How to prepare for C1 when you don’t have much time
          • Why good English isn’t always enough for C1

          09Limitations

          AI-assisted analysis can:

          • over-group different problems
          • miss context
          • interpret statements too literally
          • make weak patterns look significant
          • create plausible but unsupported interpretations

AI-generated patterns are a starting point for analysis, not final customer truth.

          11Limitations

          AI may:

          • misunderstand business priorities
          • create unnecessary tasks
          • miss organisational constraints
          • propose unrealistic dependencies
          • optimise for completeness rather than impact

A well-structured workflow is not automatically a good workflow.

          12Reflection

AI can support marketing operations, not only content generation. It can help turn an ambiguous brief into a visible structure of workstreams, tasks, dependencies and review points.

AI can organise complexity. Human judgement turns that structure into a workable marketing process.

          Human in the loop

AI supports decisions; it does not replace responsibility.

          Accuracy first

AI-generated information is reviewed before use.

          Context matters

Outputs are interpreted in the business and audience context.

          No blind automation

Not every task should be automated.

          Transparency

Fictional projects and AI-assisted processes are clearly identified.
